Wiedenmann Terra Float
In combination with the optional overseeding unit, TERRA FLOAT is the ideal overseeding machine for improving golf greens, tees and other sports turfs without breaking up the soil.
- A healthy turf needs air. Aeration is achieved by regular spiking. Spiking breaks up incrustations on the surface, cuts through surface thatch layers and promotes gas exchange. It efficiently controls algae problems.
- The TERRA FLOAT is equipped with a 3-part suspended tool roller that may be optionally fitted with spike or star-shaped tools. Due to the tool roller’s swivel suspension, the spike and star-shaped tool sections easily adjust to undulating terrain. A prerequisite for successful germination is intensive contact between seed and soil. Equally important is even, stripe-free spreading of the seed. TERRA FLOAT with its overseeding unit meets all these important requirements for successful overseeding. The subsequent parallelogram-suspended seed brush further brushes the seed into the seed grooves. The trailed seed roller with low-pressure tires presses the seed into the soil promoting close contact between seed and soil which is necessary for optimal germination.
